Cultural Competency in Business
The world in which we live is becoming increasingly more diverse. In order to be able to effectively participate in a global marketplace, an awareness of the impact cultural competency has on the climate of your organization is a must. Establishing and maintaining an inclusive environment within your organization is a three-step process:

- Administer assessment instruments
- Gather assessment instrument data
- Report assessment data findings
- Create a plan of action
- Plan Implementation
- Commit to the plan of action
- Create a timeline for training sessions, monitoring implementation, and follow up
- Design a training session package based on the approved plan of action
- d. Incorporate instruments to monitor organization progress with plan implementation
- Training / Professional Development
- Provide training materials specific to the needs of the organization
- b. Align training sessions with vision, mission, and goals of the organization
- Utilize training session feedback instruments
- Report feedback instrument results
The result of this approach will be an organization that is more productive in the global marketplace.
